EDUCATION

The DAR promotes education through the encouragement of the Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.), DAR Good Citizens, and Junior American Citizens; the provision of scholarships and awards to outstanding students; and the support of six schools through chapter and member donations.

HISTORICAL PRESERVATION

DAR members participate in many projects to preserve cultural heritage, including restoring historical sites, marking American Revolutionary War patriot gravesites and placing monuments around the world to memorialize people and events though American history.

PATRIOTISM

DAR members’ love of country is evident in the many endeavors we peruse: Operation Troop Appreciation, participating in activities for veterans, partaking in Memorial Day celebrations, and collecting the stories of our Revolutionary War patriots to share with others.
